Retirement Plans

Plan Design & Service Model

Whether it’s a 401K, defined benefit, or combination plan, we will help design a custom retirement plan to meet the specific needs of your organization. Mindful of fiduciary rules, our 12 point Investment Management Process provides objective selection, monitoring and deselection of your fund line-up.

We can assist you by helping coordinate all aspects of your new retirement plan’s conversion and installation. We focus on the critical areas of investments, fiduciary responsibilities, and employee education.

Retirement plans require ongoing monitoring and benchmarking to modify plan design and provisions as your needs change. As part of our ongoing service, we provide regularly scheduled reviews of your retirement plan. Our review covers all the key areas of plan operations.

Owner’s Plans

Many traditional 401k plans favor rank and file employees by allowing them to contribute a higher percentage of their income to the plan, while severely limiting owner contributions. We can help design plans using tools like new comparability 401ks and defined benefit plans. For example, in 2017 a defined contribution plan, such as a 401k, limits employee and employer total contributions to $54,000 plus $6000 for over age 50 catch ups, whereas a defined benefit plan may allow or require owners to contribute significantly more to fund future benefits of up to $215,000 of a future income benefit. * (Bloomberg BNA Quick Tax Reference)
