With over thirty years of experience in the financial and investment planning fields, Nancy has led at the executive level for the affiliated firms of Lincoln Financial Group, a Fortune 250 company. This included 10 years as Regional CEO with Sagemark Consulting, where in the mid-1990’s, she led a strategic change by pioneering financial planning to better serve the firm’s clients. In 2005, Nancy was tapped by Lincoln Financial Distributors to head several national divisions, including small corporate retirement plans, the Advanced Case Design attorney group and the Executive Compensation divisions. Throughout her career she has led through the most challenging markets, including the most recent financial tsunami.
Seeing how the Great Recession tested even the most stable financial situations, Nancy set out to parlay her experience to help affluent individuals employ durable wealth strategies to work towards their financial futures. In late 2010, she co-founded Brightworks Wealth Management with Scot Millen, a former M&T bank Vice President who served on both the investment selection and due diligence teams for the institution. In 2014, elite financial planner and investment adviser William Young, CFP®, became Brightworks’ third Principal followed by Merle Ross, CFP® representative in 2015.
Using the Brightpath wealth management process, the firm assists high net worth individuals, transitioning executives, and business owners create plans to build and protect their wealth with confidence. This includes comprehensive cash flow planning help to test whether their lifestyles and planned giving programs are sustainable throughout retirement. It also involves coordinating each financial plan with Brightworks’ portfolio management system, as well as business succession and legacy planning for generational planning and financial stewardship.
A consummate team player, over the years Nancy has built an impressive array of alliances with complementary professionals. This allows Brightworks to bring broad intellectual resources to bear on behalf of clients.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Briguglio is a former adjunct professor at Florida Tech, where she taught Risk Management preparation courses for the prestigious CFP® designation. She has a Masters of Science degree in Management and a Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College. She holds the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist ® designation and Series 7, Series 66 and Series 24 registrations through LPL Financial, life, and health insurance licenses in addition to long-term care certifications.
Locally, Nancy is the Chairwoman of the Equal Business Opportunity Commission, one of the founders and serves on the Executive Board of the Howard County Estate Planning Council. A graduate of the Leadership Howard County Class of 2012, Nancy continues her membership in this important organization.
Nancy and her husband Benjamin reside in Columbia, Maryland.
